vs. 1
He became sin,
Who knew no sin;
That we might become
His righteousness;
He humbled Himself,
And carried the cross.
Love so amazing,
Love so amazing.

refrain:
Jesus, Messiah;
Name above all names;
Blessed Redeemer;
Emmanuel.
The Rescue for sinners,
The Ransom from heaven;
Jesus, Messiah,
Lord of all.

bridge:
All our hope is in You,
All our hope is in You;
All the glory to You, God,
The Light of the world.

(refrain)

Jesus, Messiah,
Lord of all.
The Lord of all!
The Lord of all.

04Litany.png

Today we celebrate Jesus, Messiah, is alive, and we are alive and anew, filled with hope and living grace, so we worship in the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Friends, Christ is risen, and risen indeed; he is forever gracious and merciful. Let us take a moment of silence to confess our sins, and those times we have failed to trust we are alive and anew, filled with God’s living grace.

(silence for reflection)

Friends of The Risen Savior: When you call on The Lord, he hears you and answers you, filling you and raising you up to be alive and anew in the living grace of these words: Jesus saves; Jesus forgives you all your sins. The Risen Christ, Jesus Messiah, calls you and invites you by name, to come one and all, to come to the hungry feast!

05PrayerOfTheDay.png

Loving, living God, as the joy of Easter continues, we praise you, for filling us with new life and salvation; for always being with us. Come, Lord Jesus, be our guest; in your presence we gather. By your Spirit, we are alive and anew, to see you walking with us, eating with us, breaking into our midst, filling us with all we hunger for, filling us with hope and living grace. In The Risen Jesus, we pray. Amen.

06Gospel.png

While the disciples were talking, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” They were startled and terrified, and thought that they were seeing a ghost. He said to them, “Why are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet; see that it is I, myself. Touch me and see; for a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” And when he had said this, Jesus showed them his hands and his feet. While in their joy they were disbelieving and still wondering, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate in their presence. Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you – that everything written about me in the law of Moses, the prophets, and psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.”

ACTS 3:12-19; 1 JOHN 3:1-7; LUKE 24:36B-48

ACTS 3:12-19; 1 JOHN 3:1-7; LUKE 24:36B-48

Do you like dinner parties; meals with family and friends?  Do you find yourself eating fast food along the way?  Eating alone?  Our bodies need nourishment.  We do not always get to choose the meal or setting; and to a certain extent, `You are what you eat,' rings true.  Our favorite foods and how we eat can reveal a bit of who we are.  The Risen Jesus came and stood among his disciples.  They were terrified.  They were not sure what was going on or what they were seeing.  Was it Jesus or a ghost, or something else?  Jesus tried explaining, even showing who he was; it was in eating together that they believed.  As we celebrate The Fifty Days of Easter, let us give thanks to and feast on The One who has filled us, making us alive and anew, for Christ is risen, Christ is risen indeed!  Alleluia!

1. In The Risen Christ, trust you are filled and raised to be alive and anew in living grace.  Jesus comes to be our guest, to be with us in every meal, in every day!

A. Eating can reveal a lot about a person.  Jesus eats with us to reveal himself to us.
1 John 3:2,5; Luke 24:48

B. Jesus eats with us to make us all one people.  Luke 24:36

C. Jesus comes to eat with us and to talk with us.  Luke 24:44-45

D. Jesus comes to eat with us to nourish us. Acts 3:19, Luke 24:41

E. Jesus has faithfully been in our midst through the years, to be our guest, in our meals, and in our lives every day.  Luke 24:36

2. Wherever we go through the years, wherever you go next, when you get up tomorrow, sit down at your table at home, in a restaurant, at work, with family, with those you disagree with, with those you love, guess who will be there?  When you sit down at the banquet table one day, guess whose guest you will be?  You are filled to be alive and anew, for Christ is risen, Christ is risen indeed!  Alleluia!

vs. 1
We come to the hungry feast,
Hungry for a word of peace.
To hungry hearts unsatisfied,
The love of God is not denied.
We come, we come
To the hungry feast.

vs. 3
We come to the hungry feast,
Hungry that the hunger cease,
And knowing, though we eat our fill,
The hunger will stay with us still.
We come, we come
To the hungry feast.

10SharingPrayer.png

...as we pray to you, living Jesus,
Risen Savior, raise us to live anew, in your living hope and peace and grace.

All these things and whatever else you see we need, grant to us we pray, for into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy, through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord and Savior.
Amen.

The peace of The Risen Christ be with you always.
And also with you.

11Communion.png

Holy Communion will take place after the closing Benediction. If you are not worshipping with us in person but would like to receive Communion, we will be offering Drive Through Communion at our building at 16200 Dodd Lane, Lakeville, Minnesota, following our indoor service. Drive Through Communion will be available between 10:15am & 10:30am.

In order to better serve you in this troubling times, the way we receive Communion has changed slightly. You will be offered a self-contained Communion serving. Each capsule has two layers. The first layer is a thin, clear, cellophane layer which reveals the host. Under the second layer you will find the alcohol free juice. Volunteers will be happy to take you waste after you receive Communion.

Take&Eat.png

refrain:
Take and eat this bread.
Take and drink this cup.
This is my body and my blood.
When you eat this bread,
When you drink this cup,
You live in me and I in you.

In the night in which he was betrayed our Lord Jesus took bread and gave thanks; broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat, this is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.”

refrain:
Take and eat this bread.
Take and drink this cup.
This is my body and my blood.
When you eat this bread,
When you drink this cup,
You live in me and I in you.

Again, after supper, he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it for all to drink, saying: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me.”

refrain:
Take and eat this bread.
Take and drink this cup.
This is my body and my blood.
When you eat this bread,
When you drink this cup,
You live in me and I in you.

13LordsPrayer.png

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
Forever and ever. Amen.

14Strengthened.png

The Risen Lord bless you and keep you. The Risen Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. The Risen Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace, for you are alive and anew, right here, in the living grace of Jesus Christ. In the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Christ is risen!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Let us go in the peace of the living Christ, alive and anew, celebrating the love of God, and serving The Risen Lord of life.
Thanks be to God! Alleluia!

Ev’rywhere I go,
On this road high and low
Where I go, I go with You.
So I won’t be afraid,
This is my hope,
Come what may
Where I go I go with You.
Where I go I go with You.

vs. 1
There’s a city that calls me by name
There’s a city that calls me by name
Yes as I run this race
I am cheered by the saints
There’s a city that calls me by name

vs. 2
There’s a future that runs through my veins
There’s a future that runs through my veins
And there’s nothing on earth
That can stand in the way
There’s a future that runs through my veins

(refrain)

bridge:
Your breath upon these bones
Your fire in my soul
Your Kingdom is my home,
And I don’t walk alone.

Ev’rywhere I go,
On this road high and low
Where I go, I go with You.
So I won’t be afraid,
This is my hope,
Come what may
Where I go I go with You.

Ev’rywhere I go,
On this road high and low
Where I go, I go with You.
So I won’t be afraid,
This is my hope,
Come what may
Where I go I go with You.
Where I go I go with You.
