Based on Psalm 23
Today, for all the saints, with all the saints, we gather in glory and grace, trusting The One who sets us apart, too, as saints, as signs of love, so we worship in the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit.
Amen. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.
Friends: Our God, The Good Shepherd, is a faithful God. In Christ alone our souls are restored. Let us take a moment of silence with all the saints to confess our sins and those times we have not trusted The One who is our Rock, our Fortress, and our Might.

Friends who trust The Good and Faithful Shepherd: The pastures are green once again; the waters have been made still. While we were still sinners, God made us saints, signs of love in the grace of these words: Jesus saves; Jesus forgives you all your sins. Trust the gifts of the Kingdom still to come! Live as saints here and now! Believe and sing, how great Thou art!

Almighty and loving God, Good and Blessed Shepherd, today with all the saints, we thank you and praise you, for your abundant signs of love. By your Holy Spirit, you set us apart, and you bless us with your grace and so much more. Increase our faith, to believe how great Thou art, to live anew in forgiveness, to boldly make known salvation and eternal life, to hold fast here and now to the hope and joy we have in you alone. The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, The Father, The Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of The Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with The Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of The Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the virgin Mary, and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of The Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in The Holy Spirit, The Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from The Father and The Son.
With The Father and The Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Signs of Love … Set Apart
REVELATION 7:9-17; I JOHN 3:1-3; MATTHEW 5:1-12
Have you ever gone looking for one thing, and you find something else instead? Maybe you went to the store, looking for that product or brand you always get; suddenly you see something different, set apart, and it proves to be even better. Maybe you are moving, one community to another, or changing careers; hoping to find one thing or to re-establish another; it turns out different, better than you had hoped for. In our faith journey, we often go looking for Jesus in specific ways, and He often finds us in different and better ways than we thought possible. Long ago, people went looking for a savior. Jesus was set apart to be different from what people were hoping to find. As we celebrate All Saints' Sunday, as we read from Matthew, we see again, Jesus and Jesus' teaching are set apart to set apart Jesus, to be different than the people expected. Trust, celebrate, Jesus, God’s Perfect Sign Of Love, sets us apart in grace, as signs of love with all the saints! Thanks be to God!
1. As signs of love, we are set apart and blessed to be saints, a different kind of saint.

A. We are set apart in a different way than the world does things.
B. We are God's children, signs of love, set apart in a different way.
2. As signs of love, we are saints, set apart and blessed to live a different life, to live in a different way, to live in grace!
Matthew 5:3-12
A. What are you good at? How did you get good at it?
B. God sets us apart, invites us, empowers us, blesses us as signs of love to live in a different way. Life in Christ was never intended to be an obligation or conditional, rather set apart as a gift, an opportunity, overflowing with signs of love, benefits, filled with blessings, by grace to live in Christ!
3. As signs of love, we are set apart with a different calling.
Revelation 7:12
A. The world tells us to be self serving. We are signs of love, set apart to live out a different calling.
B. We are signs of love, set apart, to see others, too, as signs of love!
4. As signs of love, we are saints, set apart, blessed to love our neighbor, to live, here and now, eternally, in a different sense of community.
Revelation 7:9
A. God's Kingdom, here and now, for all eternity, is so much smaller than we think.
B. God's Kingdom, here and now, for all eternity, is far larger than we know.
5. As signs of love, we are set apart with a different peace, a different hope.

A. The salvation we know that will be ours in The Lamb, what we will become, The Good Shepherd, all give eternal hope and peace, here and now!
B. As signs of love, set apart, the hope and peace to come, give hope and peace, here and now!
C. The saints above, the signs of love above, the angels, know what we will one day know; for now, we are jealous of the angels!
6. We are blessed with a grace and a Savior, God’s Perfect Sign Of Love, set apart as saints. Are you looking for a specific Jesus, a specific Savior, a specific teaching? Trust, celebrate, in the grace of Jesus, with the power of The Spirit, we are signs of love, set apart in a different way than anyone could have anticipated. We love because God first loved us! We are forever saints, set apart, to be different in grace! Thanks be to God!

Bless us as your saints, as your signs of love set apart, with your glory and grace.
Almighty God, in Jesus we know the resurrection and the life.
In you, even though we die, we will live, forever.
In you, even though we weep and our hearts are troubled, you give us faith to believe again.
In you, we have a dwelling place prepared by you just for us.
In you, we have the blessed assurance our Savior will come again and bring us home.
In you, we have a Good Shepherd who watches over us and helps us lie down in green pastures and to once again walk by still waters.
In you, we have a rod and a staff which will comfort us in the midst of our darkest valleys in whatever life and death bring our way.

God of all goodness and every comfort, today as your people, together with all the saints who are set apart and called by name, we give you thanks for those who have touched and filled and impacted our lives. We also gather to support one another through your Holy Spirit, as we remember the emptiness and the sorrow and the loss we feel because those we love have died.
Today we remember those servants already commended into your care, those lambs of your own flock received in mercy, those saints resting in light. Today we especially remember:

Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom pray, trusting in your mercy, through your Son, Jesus Christ; thanking you for blessing us through the lives of others, for blessing us with the gift of life, strengthening us as the people of God, with the life giving treasurers of hope, peace and community; trusting anew you are forever with us as our lives and spiritual journeys and walks in faith continue.

Holy Communion will take place during our service. If you are not worshipping with us in person but would like to receive Communion, we will be offering Drive Through Communion at our building at 16200 Dodd Lane, Lakeville, Minnesota, following our indoor service. Drive Through Communion will be available between 10:15am & 10:30am.
For those worshiping with us in person, we receive communion through intinction; that is, you will receive the bread, the host, then dip into the glass of choice, either a red wine in the chalice closest to the host, or in a light colored non-alcoholic grape juice. All are welcome.
We also offer gluten free and pre-packaged options. Please take these options before arriving at the host to receive a blessing.
