Gathering In Spirit & Grace
Here I Am to Worship
Hughes
Light of the World
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes
Let me see
Beauty that made
This heart adore You
Hope of a life
Spent with you
refrain:
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am
To say that You’re my God
You’re altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful
To me
And I’ll never know
How much it cost
To see my sin
Up on that cross
And I’ll never know
How much it cost
To see my sin
Up on that cross
(refrain)
Litany Celebrating the Rush of the Wind in Power & Grace
BASED ON PSALM 66
Friends, today we are here to bow down, to say that God is God, for The Bread of Life fills us with grace in the rush of The Wind, so here we are to worship, in the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit.
Amen. I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice. The Lord listens to me, and strengthens me in my searching, therefore I will hunger to call on his name as long as I live.
People of God: Jesus feeds us, renews us, in his presence and grace. Let us take a moment of silence to confess our sins and those times we have failed to hunger for the Lord and his faithfulness.
(silence for reflection)
Friends in Christ: In the rush of The Wind, your appetite for hope and new life is forever satisfied, in the grace of these words: Jesus saves; Jesus forgives you all your sins. When we say, “O Lord, I pray, save my life,” trust the Lord is gracious and merciful; the Spirit is here, tried and true, blessing us to be a living sanctuary!
Song of Call & Hope

Lord prepare me
To be a sanctuary
Pure and holy

With thanksgiving
I’ll be a living

For you
Today I trust anew the Lord loves me and protects me. Jesus has fed me and saved my life. Though at times I question the gift of faith, my soul craves for, and praises, the Lord!
Friends fed and filled: Let us have an appetite for one thing: To grow in faith, to call on God’s power, to love the Lord. Trust anew, you are rock solid, stand firm; Jesus’ appetite is not satisfied until he saves us; live anew; you are a living sanctuary!

For you
Loving God, today we give you thanks you have an appetite to call and save and grace each of us; you hunger for us. Give us an appetite, a craving, to savor making you and our neighbors first in our lives. In the rush of The Wind, by your Holy Spirit, may The Bread of Life, may The Bread of Heaven, forever feed our spirits, to serve you, to tell others you alone satisfy our hunger for truth and hope and grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
The Old Testament
JOSHUA 24:1–2a, 14–18
Then Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and summoned the elders, the heads, the judges, and the officers of Israel; and they presented themselves before God. Joshua said to all the people: .... “Now therefore revere the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness; put away the gods that your ancestors served beyond the River in Egypt, and serve the Lord. Now if you are unwilling to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served in the region beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Then the people answered, “Far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods; for it is the Lord our God who brought us and our ancestors up from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, and who did those great signs in our sight. He protected us along all the way that we went, and among all the peoples through whom we passed; and the Lord drove out before us all the peoples, the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve the Lord, for he is our God.”

The New Testament
EPHESIANS 6:10–20
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against the enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints. Pray also for me, so that when I speak, a message may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it boldly, as I must speak.
(New Revised Standard Version)

Gospel
JOHN 6:56–69
Jesus said, “Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which your ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live forever.” He said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum. When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?” But Jesus, being aware that his disciples were complaining about it, said to them, “Does this offend you? Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But among you there are some who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the first who were the ones that did not believe, and who was the one that would betray him. And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted by the Father.” Because of this many of his disciples turned back and no longer went about with him. So Jesus asked the twelve, “Do you also wish to go away?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.”

Stating Our Faith in God
BASED ON PSALM 89
As we feel the rush of The Wind, let us speak boldly of all we believe, trusting God’s power and grace in Jesus Christ.
I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord, forever; with my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all generations. I declare that your steadfast love is established forever; your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens. You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to my servant David: ‘I will establish your descendants forever, and build your throne for all generations.’” Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the sky can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord, great and awesome above all that are around him? O Lord, God of hosts, who is as mighty as you? Blessed be the Lord forever. Amen and Amen.

Song Filled Anew In Grace
Grace Alone
Nelson & Brown
Ev’ry promise we can make
Ev’ry prayer and step of faith
Ev’ry diff’rence we will make
Is only by His grace
Ev’ry mountain we will climb
Ev’ry ray of hope we shine
Ev’ry blessing left behind
Is only by His grace
Grace alone
Which God supplies
Strength unknown
He will provide
Christ in us
Our Cornerstone
We will go forth
In grace alone
We will go forth
In grace alone
… as we pray to you, Jesus, ...
Let us feel the rush of your presence and your grace.
All these things and whatever else you see we need, grant to us we pray, for into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy, through your Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Holy Communion will take place during our service. If you are not worshipping with us in person but would like to receive Communion, we will be offering Drive Through Communion at our building at 16200 Dodd Lane, Lakeville, Minnesota, following our indoor service. Drive Through Communion will be available between 10:15am & 10:30am.
For those worshiping with us in person, we receive communion through intinction; that is, you will receive the bread, the host, then dip into the glass of choice, either a red wine in the chalice closest to the host, or in a light colored non-alcoholic grape juice. All are welcome.
We also offer gluten free and pre-packaged options. Please take these options before arriving at the host to receive a blessing.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
Forever and ever. Amen.
Song During Holy Communion
Here I Am, Lord
Schutte
I the Lord of sea and sky
I have heard my people cry
All who dwell in dark and sin
My hand will save
I who made the stars of night
I will make their darkness bright
Who will bear my light to them
Whom shall I send
refrain:
Here I am Lord
Is it I Lord
I have heard
You calling in the night
I will go Lord
If you lead me
I will hold
Your people in my heart
I the Lord of snow and rain
I have borne my people’s pain
I have wept for love of them
They turn away
I will break their hearts of stone
Give them hearts for love alone
I will speak my word to them
Whom shall I send
(refrain)
I the Lord of wind and flame
I will tend the poor and lame
I will set a feast for them
My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide
‘Til their hearts be satisfied
I will give my life to them
Whom shall I send
(refrain)
The body and blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, strengthen you and keep you in his grace, this day, and on into life everlasting.
Amen.
Let us pray.
Pour out upon us the spirit of your love, O Lord, and unite the wills of those whom you have fed with one heavenly food; through Jesus Christ, The Lord of life. Amen.
The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. The Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace, as you feel the rush of The Wind in God’s saving grace. In the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Let us go in the peace of Christ, celebrating the love of God, and serving the Lord of life.
Thanks be to God!

Lord Reign In Me
Brown
vs. 1
Over all the earth
You reign on high
Ev’ry mountain stream
Ev’ry sunset sky
But my one request
Lord my only aim
Is that You’d reign in me again
refrain:
Lord reign in me
Reign in Your pow’r
Over all my dreams
In my darkest hour
You are the Lord
Of all I am
So won’t you reign in me again
vs. 2
Over ev’ry thought
Over ev’ry word
May my life reflect
The beauty of my Lord
‘Cause You mean more to me
Than any earthly thing
So won’t You reign in me again
(refrain twice)
Won’t You reign in me again
Won’t You reign in me again
