Just as I am without one plea
But that thy blood was shed for me
And that thou bidd'st me come to thee
O Lamb of GodI come
I come

(Jesus said)
”Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often have I desired to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing.”
— Luke 13:34

What kind of peace do you long for? A quiet moment? Peace at the end of a long day? Peace in the midst of the unknown? Stress and worry to be no more? Health to be restored? Financial and employment issues to be resolved?

Are you at peace with who you are, just as you are? God's grace keeps our hearts on The One who offers and gives peace, real peace, for This One is Peace! The One who always, for all eternity, keeps his heart on us, went to Jerusalem where there was no peace, to bring peace, to restore peace, to gather us in peace, to grace us with peace, to be peace!

As we begin the second full week of our Lenten journey, may each of us be blessed by God's grace in Christ alone, to be at peace with who we are, thanks to The One who is all the peace we long for!

Let us pray: Jesus, today I tell you, I often go looking for the peace I think will quiet my mind. By your Holy Spirit, just as I am, keep your heart on me, and restore peace in my life and spirit. Take me under your wings, and give me peace. Today I thank you and praise you, you came to Jerusalem, and you still come to me, to save me and to give me peace. In Jesus' name, I pray in true and real peace. Amen.
