Oh how He loves you and me
Oh how He loves you and me
He gave His life
What more could He give
Oh how He loves you
Oh how He loves me
Oh how He loves you and me

Then Jesus began to teach his disciples that the Son of Man must undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
— Mark 8:31

Getting things clean, completely clean, is not easy. Wiping things downs, the windows, the floors, including the blinds and the baseboards, including the corners. Doing the dishes, including those to be done by hand, and those requiring scrubbing. Washing clothes, including treating any spots, those to be done by hand, those needing line drying or lying flat, and the dry cleaning. Getting things clean completely takes work. Completely completing what needs doing is not easy.

The gift of the crucified and risen Christ, is to trust, The One who keeps his compassionate heart on you, completely: Going to Jerusalem is not enough, undergoing great suffering is not enough, being rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes is not enough, being killed is not enough, rising again after three days, thanks be to God, makes complete God's love for you and me, cleaning you completely, saving you completely, gracing you completely!

Let us pray: Jesus, today I tell you I often do not finish completely all you ask me to do, keeping my heart on you completely is not easy for me. I praise you that you keep your heart on me completely, that you love me completely, that you clean me completely, that you gave your life completely that I might live, that you came to compassionately finish all God had started and promised, including your suffering, death, and resurrection. By your Holy Spirit, I completely keep my heart on you, as I pray. Amen.
