I want to know Christ and the power of the resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death, if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
— Philippians 3:10

'I just can't do it anymore.' 'I don't know how I'm going to make it.' 'I'm running out of energy.'

Do you ever feel like this? Like you do not know what gives you life, or what your life and hope are in? Do you ever feel like your Spirit is drying up? What would help you make it? What would reveal to you the power of the resurrection for daily living?

At this stage in our Lenten journey it is easy for us to wonder if we will make it. Is it worth it? Where will we get life to overcome all that is dead today? What is my life in, today? Where will life in me come from to finish this week, and enter next week?

Trust your strength, your hope, your life, your eternal life will find its energy and grace in one place and one place only, in The One who keeps his heart on you. When you are tired, as you prepare for Holy Week, as you meet each new day, trust your hope is in one place alone - in You, it's in You, in You!

Let us pray: Jesus, I have much in my life that is drying up and feels dead. I need the power of the resurrection today, I cannot wait. Keep your heart on me, especially as Holy Week approaches, and I will hope anew, no longer wondering how I will make it, for my life is in You. In your name I am alive again, as I pray. Amen.
