Have you seen Jesus my Lord
He's here in plain view
Take a look
Open your eyes
He'll show it to you

Have you ever looked at the cross
With a man hangin' in pain
Seen the look of love in his eyes
Then I say
You've seen Jesus my Lord

There they gave a dinner for him. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him. Mary took a pound of costly perfume made of pure nard, anointed Jesus’ feet, and wiped them with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to betray him), said, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?”
— John 12:2-5

Have you ever been in the presence of someone important, famous, influential? Have you ever dreamed of meeting a particular someone? Have you ever been somewhere, and someone you are with says, 'Do you see who that it is?'

Recognizing people can be exciting, meeting people can be inspiring, getting to know someone is best. Missing an opportunity to see, recognize, meet or know, may be an opportunity never offered again.

Lazarus, Martha, and Mary took every opportunity to see, be with, and get to know Jesus. Judas missed opportunity after opportunity. He saw someone, he saw Jesus, but one must ask, 'Did Judas ever really see, Jesus, his Lord, the one who was there, in plain view?'

This weekend, during the week to come, take the time God in grace gives you, and do not miss another opportunity to see The One, who keeps his heart on you, The One who is here in plain view! How much more clear could He be?

Let us pray: Jesus, I often miss the opportunity to see you, right here in plain view. Take every opportunity, and reveal yourself to me again and again. Keep your heart on me, bless me again by your grace alone, and I will be driven to see I am in the presence of all I have been looking for. In Jesus' name, who is here in plain view, I pray. Amen.
