Maundy Thursday – April 17, 2025
Theme: “Loving Hearts!”
Service at 7:00 p.m.
Join us on Maundy Thursday as we reflect on “Loving Hearts!” and the depth of Christ’s love. In John 13:1-17, 31b-35, Jesus shares the Last Supper, washes His disciples’ feet, and gives the commandment to “love one another as I have loved you.” As we enter this sacred night, we are reminded that Christ’s heart is set on us, washing us, feeding us, and filling us with His grace.
What to Expect:
Scripture Reflection:
John 13:1-17, 31b-35 – Jesus demonstrates servant love and calls us to do the same.
Holy Communion: Sharing in the meal Christ first gave to His disciples.
First Communion: Tonight we also celebrate and pray God’s blessing on these fellow believers who share their First Communion and come to The Lord’s Table in a new, complete, and blessed way!
Foot Washing: A reminder of Christ’s humble service and love.
Message from Pastor Jamie: A reflection on how we are first loved by the One who calls us to love others.
Stripping of the Altar: Our service concludes with the dramatic and solemn stripping of the altar in preparation for Good Friday.
In Person: Worship with us at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Lakeville, MN.
Online: Join our live stream on Lord of Life LIVE.
As we journey through Holy Week, may we return to the One who loves us first, keeping our hearts on His grace, mercy, and call to love. We look forward to worshiping with you.
